Introducing our new Change Fatigue Survey: Assessing employees’ attitudes towards change
We are excited to announce the launch of our new survey – Change Fatigue. Change is an inherent aspect of organisational dynamics, influenced by various factors such as technological advancements, economic fluctuations, and shifts in customer preferences. While change initiatives have the potential to enhance efficiency and competitiveness, they can also engender feelings of uncertainty, fatigue, and doubt among employees. This phenomenon is commonly referred to as Change Fatigue.
In February 2023, Podium joined forces with Biz group to investigate Change Fatigue in the GCC business landscape. The cross-sectional study involved reaching out to employees working in diverse industries across the UAE, encompassing both the public and private sectors, specifically targeting individuals in the HR and L&D divisions. Together, we co-wrote a white paper called “Engaged but Exhausted; the consequences of change”.
The White Paper explores the psychological effects of Change Fatigue on individuals and its broader impact on organisational performance. There are also practical insights to help organisations assess whether change fatigue poses a significant challenge within their structures.
In June 2023,Carl Francis (Podium's Operations Director) and Chris Quy (Director of Strategic Learning at Biz Group) conducted a webinar to delve deeper into the paper's findings. There was a thought-provoking discussion on how organisations can effectively combat the growing challenge of an engaged but exhausted workforce. The White Paper served as the catalyst for the development of our Change Fatigue Survey, that helps to understand how people feel about change and its impact on employee engagement.

Exciting news! Podium launches a series of skills-based assessments
We are thrilled to announce Podium’s skills tests as the latest addition to our assessments. These tests are designed to measure candidates' abilities in specific tasks and skills, enabling you to make more informed hiring decisions. Our tests include Digital Literacy, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Data Entry, Checking, Understanding Instructions, and Typing. All Podium skills tests can be administered in combination with any other Podium assessment.

In the coming weeks, we will be launching our new assessment catalogue and a range of Microsoft Office Simulations that can gauge a candidate’s knowledge on these specific software packages. These simulations provide a realistic environment where candidates can showcase their skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. By simulating real-world tasks and challenges, these assessments will provide valuable insights into an individual's proficiency, efficiency, and problem-solving abilities.
